Mission
To broaden awareness of the reality and implications of the changing climate to our neighbors, community, and elected officials so we can preserve a livable Earth for ourselves and the next generation.
What We Do:
Northeast Metro Climate Action works with the climate initiatives of larger groups like Sierra Club, MN350, Citizens Climate Lobby or others when those initiatives fit well with the purpose and capacities of NEMCA.
- Communicate with northeast metro communities regarding coming impacts of climate change and actions that can be taken to prepare for and adapt to them
- Highlight local businesses, group and individuals that are making a positive difference in Climate Change
- Work with local communities and legislators in raising concerns and providing solutions to Climate Change
- Educate about individuals, businesses, institutions and government can do to limit the dangers of Climate Change
