Kris has taken personal actions such as installing solar panels on his home in Lino Lakes and committing to bicycle commute to Highview Middle School where he is a Technology Specialist. Kris’s campaign platform includes raising renewable energy standards in MN and fighting for environmental justice.

World Oceans Day Discussion: Climate Related Threats to the World’s Oceans

On June 8 at 7pm CDT join a panel of scientists for a discussion on how climate change will impact the world’s oceans and ecosystems. The panel includes Dr. John Abraham of University of St. Thomas, Dr. Louisa Bradtmiller of Macalester College and Allyson Demerlis, a PhD candidate at the University of Miami. Caucus Training

Northeast Metro Climate Action invites everyone to attend training for advancing environmental and climate resolutions at the upcoming party caucuses. The training will be led by the 100% Campaign and MN Interfaith Power and Light. Farming, Food and the Climate Crisis

Stan Sattinger with the MN350 Climate Solutions Team presents at Shoreview Library at 7pm on January 13, 2020. In this presentation, Mr. Sattinger describes how our food choices are a key factor in reducing our personal carbon footprint. Reductions in GHG emissions may be achieved by reducing the proportion of meat in our diets and by selecting pasture-fed meat. In addition, reducing food waste has enormous potential for further emission reductions.
